Article processing charges
All articles published with our journals are classified as open access and which simply means they will be freely available online 24×7 as soon as publications are made. The reason this is possible is because of the article processing charge (APC) that covers the publishing services that we provide. The publishing services span across editors and authors online facilities, hosting, abstracting, indexing, DOI, similarity check, article production and customer care. Our APC is divided into: Processing fee and Publication fee. The Processing fee is payable alongside your initial submission of your manuscript and while the Publication fee is payable when your manuscript is editorially accepted and set for publication.
Processing Fee: NGN 5,000 or US $20
Publication NGN 35,000 or US $100
Who is responsible for making or arrange the payment?
The corresponding author (who in most cases is the one submitting the manuscript) is expected to take up the responsibility of making or arrange the payment when submitting the manuscript (in case of processing fee) and publication fee as soon as the manuscript is accepted by the editorial team for publication.
What do the article processing charges paid for?
- Your published article will Immediately be available online for anyone to view and read freely and this will influence your citation rate positively as an authority and a “goto” person in your field
- The peer review and publication are handled and maintained with this.
- Getting digital object identifier (DOI) for the articles
- Getting the full text included in a number of archives permanently.
- Get the articles indexed in reputable repositories.
- Administrative cost alleviation
When and how do I pay?
When you are submitting your manuscript, an administrative processing fee is attached, you are requested to make the payment if not our editorial office will not process your manuscript for further publication process activities. As soon as the manuscript get to the stage of editorial acceptance of an article, our editorial office will contact and notify the corresponding author that payment for the publication is due.
We will encourage you to be prompt with the payment because we will not publish accepted articles until payment has been received and confirmed by our editorial office.
Making payment for our respective charges is seamless and very easy. You will make this payment right there in your account with us via:
- Credit card – payment can be made online using a secure payment form as soon as the manuscript has been editorially accepted. We will we send a receipt by email once payment has been processed.
Kindly note that we did not include any taxes in these charges. If you are resident in any European Union country you have to add Value-Added Tax (VAT) at the rate applicable in the respective country. In some cases the payment platform could impose on you a service charge at the point of payment, please note you will see the charges they are not hidden.
Can charges be waived if I lack funds?
We are so sorry that APC waivers are not offered for open access publication with us since we are not subscription base journal giving an Open Choice (hybrid) option, where authors without the funds to publish open access can publish via the subscription route.
Article withdrawal policy
As an author you have the right to withdraw the manuscript after submitting it. There will be no charge as long as it is withdrawn within 7 days of its initial submission.
Our APC refund policy
We will refund an article processing charge (APC) if there is failure to publish an editorial accepted article as a result of an error from us under the open access terms that we base our publications on. This error may include failure to make the article openly available on our journal website, or publication of the article under a contrast Creative Commons license from the one we stipulate on our website. If these errors are not rectified within 30 days of publication we will offer you a refund of your publication fee.
Once you become aware of an error in the open access status or licensing of your article, please contact the editorial office via our email.
We will not refund APCs when articles are retracted as a result of author’s error or misconduct considering our publication ethics.
Discounts on Article Processing Charges
Our Journal offers different types of discounts on APCs, which are listed below. The discounts are exclusive of each other and they cannot be accumulated.
- Discount with respect to amount of articles you want to publish in an Issue as a corresponding author. A 10% discounts apply to publication fee for ≥3 articles.
- As an Editorial Board Member, you have 20% off on publication fee for not more two(2) article publishing in an Issue as long as you are the corresponding author.
